Speaker Room Test Suite
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 11, 2026
Speaker Room Test Suite is an iPhone app for generating test signals and making relative speaker and room measurements. It is designed to work locally on your device. This policy explains what the app accesses, what it stores, and what it does not collect.
Microphone access
The app uses the iPhone microphone only when you start a recording or measurement. Audio is analyzed on-device to check routing and signal quality and to produce relative timing, polarity, response, impulse, and decay results. Cognerva does not receive or store microphone audio from the app.
Saved measurements and audio
When you save a measurement, the app may store selected source audio, imported response files, test signal settings, routing details, and measurement results in local app storage on your device. Cognerva does not operate a service that receives or syncs this data.
Exports and sharing
The app can create source-audio files, JSON, CSV, and human-readable reports on-device. Files are passed to the standard iOS share sheet only after you choose to export or share them. The person, app, or service you choose as a destination has its own privacy practices.
No accounts, analytics, ads, or tracking
Speaker Room Test Suite does not require an account and does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or third-party tracking systems. Cognerva does not collect personal data through the app.
Network use
A network connection is not required for measurement or analysis. If you choose to open a product, App Store, or support link, iOS or your browser handles that destination under its own privacy practices.
Your control
- You can stop a measurement at any time.
- You can revoke microphone permission at any time in iOS Settings.
- You can delete saved measurements and audio inside the app.
- You decide whether and where exported files are shared.
- Deleting the app removes its locally stored app data from the device.
