Speaker Room Test Suite ยท Coming soon
Make placement changes with better evidence.
Speaker Room Test Suite is a local-first iPhone tool for generating controlled test signals, capturing a response, and comparing speaker or listening-position changes with clear, repeatable evidence.
Measurement evidence
Verify the setup before trusting the comparison.
A repeatable check
From test signal to an explainable comparison.
Start with the same phone, routing, position, and volume. The suite records what happened, checks the capture quality, and shows when a result is too weak or inconsistent to compare.
Controlled signals
Generate channel IDs, polarity impulses, sweeps, stepped tones, pink noise, and timing patterns with conservative starting levels.
Capture checks
Confirm input route, headroom, clipping risk, noise, repeatability, and sample-rate consistency before interpreting a response.
Evidence, not a single score
Inspect channel identity, polarity, delay, relative response, impulse and decay views, room-mode overlays, and confidence together.
Before / after
Compare a change, not an isolated reading.
Pair two saved captures made at different positions or configurations and compare their relative response and timing evidence side by side. Keep the physical setup notes visible in your own test protocol, then export source audio, JSON, CSV, and a readable report only when you choose to share.
Meaningful limits
Relative measurement, not laboratory calibration.
An uncalibrated iPhone microphone can support timing and qualitative, repeatable comparisons. It cannot certify SPL, hearing safety, compliance, or laboratory-grade frequency response. Results depend on the phone, signal path, placement, automatic gain behavior, and room conditions.
A useful protocol
Keep the variables visible.
- Use the same iPhone, speaker route, volume setting, and signal type.
- Mark the microphone, speaker, and listening positions before each run.
- Repeat a capture when routing, headroom, noise, or confidence changes.
- Use room dimensions as an explanatory overlay, not a treatment prescription.
Private by design
Audio analysis stays on your iPhone.
Speaker Room Test Suite is designed to process microphone audio and measurement results on-device. It has no account, ads, analytics, or tracking. Any export uses the standard iOS share sheet only after you request it.
Test signals are tools, not a certified safety assessment. Begin quietly, use your judgment, and stop playback if it is uncomfortable or causes distortion.
