Clacklab
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 4, 2026
Clacklab is an iPhone app for analyzing and comparing mechanical keyboard sound. Clacklab works locally on your device and does not send your microphone audio, measurements, or saved sessions to Cognerva.
Microphone access
Clacklab uses the iPhone microphone only while you run an acoustic measurement. Audio is analyzed in memory on-device. Clacklab does not save raw microphone audio and does not upload it to Cognerva or any third party.
Saved session data
When you save a session, Clacklab stores the session name, optional keyboard and switch names, optional notes, acoustic measurements, and spectrum data in the app's local storage on your device.
Exports and sharing
Clacklab Pro can create comparison images and CSV files on-device. These files are passed to the standard iOS share sheet only after you choose to export or share them. The destination you select has its own privacy practices.
Purchases
Clacklab Pro is purchased through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the purchase and provides Clacklab with entitlement status. Cognerva does not receive your payment card details.
No accounts, analytics, ads, or tracking
Clacklab does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking SDKs. Cognerva does not collect personal data through the app.
Your control
- You can delete saved sessions inside the app.
- You can revoke microphone access at any time in iOS Settings.
- Deleting Clacklab removes its locally stored session data from the device.
- You decide whether and where exported files are shared.
