Acoustic Tachometer is an iPhone app for estimating engine RPM from exhaust or engine sound. This policy explains what the app accesses, what it stores, and what it does not collect.

Microphone access

Acoustic Tachometer uses the microphone only when you start a measurement. Audio is processed on device to estimate firing frequency and RPM. Cognerva does not receive or store microphone recordings from the app.

Saved measurements

If you save a session, the app stores measurement details such as RPM estimates, confidence values, selected engine profile, and timestamp in local app storage on your device. These records are not synced to Cognerva.

No accounts, analytics, ads, or tracking

Acoustic Tachometer does not require an account and does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or third-party tracking systems. Cognerva does not collect personal data through the app.

Your control

You can stop microphone use at any time by stopping measurement in the app.
You can revoke microphone permission at any time in iOS Settings.
Deleting Acoustic Tachometer removes its locally stored app data from the device.
